A note from the founder
Our Approach
Why PremiumBrands starts with a name worth building on.
I founded PremiumBrands because I care about the names people choose before they put years of work behind a business. I buy a name by asking whether I would build on it myself. The names I have not built on are the ones I am open to selling. CreditRepairAgent.com belongs in that collection because it puts a recognizable category together with an identifiable helping role.
The morning the name changed
My experience with names comes from building an operating business. In 2007, I acquired the press release distribution business running on i-Newswire.com. I secured iNewswire.com in 2013. In February 2015, after more than a year of negotiating and consulting SEO professionals, I moved the business to Newswire.com. Each step was a decision about the identity we would carry into our work.
The morning of that switch, a prospect told one of our sales agents, “Oh yeah, Newswire.com. I’ve heard of you guys.” That was impossible. The name had just changed. I remember that moment because it made the difference in the introduction so tangible. We were still the people doing the work, but we had a clearer name to say at the beginning of the conversation.
The business was acquired in 2022 for about $44 million, as reported in the Issuer Direct acquisition announcement. That was the business and the team’s work, not a sale of the domain. The useful part of the story for a founder choosing a name comes much earlier: the point at which a business finally has an identity its team is comfortable saying out loud.
A name before a plan
I bought PremiumBrands.com before I had a plan for it. Premium names matter to me, and I felt that waiting would probably mean losing the chance to build on this one. By now it could belong to someone already using it, with no interest in selling. Owning it gave me a fixed point while I worked out what I wanted the collection to become.
That is why I question the fix-it-later mindset. A temporary identity goes into email addresses, account invitations, signs and the material people keep. Upgrading later means changing those things and carrying the people who already know the business into a different name. Choosing a name early lets a founder put the first round of work behind the identity they want to keep.
Why this combination interests me
With CreditRepairAgent.com, I see a founder able to name the category and the role in the same breath. Credit services involve questions, explanations and follow-through. “Agent” gives the founder a way to frame that point of help, whether a person leads the relationship or a professional uses software to organize it. The founder gets a clear introduction to carry from the public page into the work itself.
I would want the name on the service explanation, on the workspace invitation and on the next useful update. That consistency is where the practical value lives for me. The name gives all those different moments a common identity, while the founder chooses the standards and the people behind them.
AI has made it easier to build almost any first version. I can see more products arriving with capable interfaces and similar features. A recognizable name remains one of the few parts another builder cannot copy into a competing launch. It gives the work a public identity to grow around. A great name won’t save a bad business; the service still has to deserve the attention it receives.
The work a founder chooses
OnlineBusiness.com is part of my background in building online businesses. PremiumBrands is where I offer selected names and the context for imagining their next use. The question I keep coming back to is practical: would I build on this? For CreditRepairAgent.com, the appeal is the same from the first introduction to the client handoff: a clear category, a clear point of help and one name across the experience.
If this is the identity you want to build around, tell PremiumBrands what you have in mind. If a different name is the one you want, we can help pursue an acquisition outside the collection. Either conversation starts with the work you want to put your name on. A premium .com is a trust shortcut.
A credit-service identity, from introduction to follow-through.
